Adult Infusion Rate Calculator   

The Adult Infusion Rate Calculator calculates the proper infusion rate for vasoactive drugs, anticoagulants, and other medications (amiodarone, argatroban, bivalirudin, diltiazem, dopamine, dobutamine, epinephrine, esmolol, fenolodopam, heparin, integrilin, insulin, isoproterenol, labetalol, milrinone, nesiritid, nitroglycerine, nitroprusside, norepinephrine, phenylephrine, procainamide, and propofol). The purpose of the infusion rate calculator is to prevent medication errors, standardized concentrations, and assist the nurse taking care of the patient.

Required for weight based drugs (user is forced to enter a weight). Charts that display without an entered weight do not require a weight and are non weight based.  
 
For medications that are renal adjusted (argatroban, Angiomax (bivalirudin), Integrilin, milrinone) you may use the creatinine clearance calculator.
